My Mother
I have been thinking lots about my mother lately. She's 87 years old and still going strong. About 3 years ago my sister, Denna, and I took her to Disneyland for a day. She walked every step of the way and enjoyed every minute.
Last year Gerald and I took her to Washington DC with us. We spent a couple of days with her sister, Donna Ruth and husband Bruce. We visited Colonial Williamsburg and she never missed a beat. We left her with Donna while we did some lobbying at the Capitol.
In 2004 the whole LeSueur tribe had Thanksgivng dinner at my brother Darrel's house. We rented a big slide for the kids entertainment. Grandma Nena, as she's fondly called, was a good sport and slide down with Kathy's mother, Bertie, and her sister. Here are pictures of them. Grandma Nena is on the left.

Arlene . . this is absolutely wonderful to see two such active and full of life elderly women having such a great time at Disneyland. It's the same kind of person I am married to.
