Snow!

Last Sunday most of the state of Arizona fasted for moisture and boy did we get it! At 5:00 in the afternoon we have 16 inches on the ground and it's still snowing!

I mentioned in my posting that I made it home without mishap, but that wasn't quite true. I turned off the highway onto our road and thought I would get home just fine, but right by the mailboxes, I slide off the road into the ditch and couldn't move. I called Dad and he came and pulled me out. I had a hard time going again, but finally was able to inch along. When I came to the turn leading to our house, I slide off again and Dad couldn't pull me out. The car's still there -- I rode home in the pickup. Here are pictures of the snow. It's great and, other than having hungry cows because they can't get anything to eat, we're loving it. It will melt and all go right into the ground.

Number 30!

Here are pictures of our latest grandchild -- Kaylee McLaws -- born March 2, to Shawna and Bruce. Isn't she a doll!

I went to Rimrock to help out on Wednesday, March 8 and barely made it home. I went up I17 from Camp Verde to Flagstaff in a blizzard with very trecherous roads. When I got to Flagstaff, things were great and I thought it would be smooth sailing home. When I got to Joe City there was lots of snow and it increased steadily as I approached Snowflake. The road between Snowflake and Holbrook was really bad, but I made it without mishap.
