Nashville

On Saturday, January 7, Gerald and I left for Nashville to attend a National Farm Bureau convention at the Opreyland Hotel. That hotel is huge! There are 3 atriums and the huge hotel all under a glass roof. The largest atrium has a stream running through it with boat rides. That stream was created by getting water from most of the states in the union and putting it into the stream that recirculates. The entire hotel is beautiful. Here is a picture of the largest atrium, but the photo doesn't do it justice. The other picture is of us and Vern & Jana Turley, the only other couple that went from Navajo County.

New Furniture

The Thursday after Christmas, Gerald and I drove to Mesa for our annual LeSueur Holiday party for my mother, my siblings and spouses. It was at Keith and Kathy's again and it was a great party.

For Christmas Gerald and I got a new bedroom, although we didn't get it until a week after Christmas. Here are pictures of the bed and the dress and mirror. I'll post more pictures when I get new drapes and bedspread.

I took off the mural that's been on the east wall for 29 years and this past weekend Bruce textured the wall and I painted it. We moved the dress to that wall and have the TV on the wall where the dresser was. Things are looking good in that room.

Horseback Riding

There was lots of horseback riding during Christmas break. The weather was beautiful and besides riding horses, the kids spent time working on their club (in the bushes east of our house), playing in the yard, climbing on the hay in the barn and even eating outside. This is a picture of Will and Taylor riding horses.

Buckle

For Christmas all of the kids surprised surprised their dad with a custom made buckle. It's beautiful and he was so surprised. He wears it with great pride.

Catching Up

I haven't posted anything for a while because my Internet at home is so slow that it's a pain to do anything on the Internet. I'm at work and hopefully I'll be able to post some pictures I've been wanting to put on my blog.

Christmas was great! We had a slow, quiet morning, went to Church, visited Rex and Mark's families and the prepared for the crowd of 30 we had for dinner and the evening. The crowd included an older man from our ward and his financee. We had a great time! The first picture is of the group we had for home evening on Monday and the 2nd is of Gerald, Kelli, Rachel, Tedi, Jami and Scott concentrating on a game they were playing.
